Mikael,

welcome to the list!

The Reaction-tg has had an extended summer break, but
will soon resume its business.

In fact, I propose to have the next conference call in
three weeks, when I'm back from China (where I'm going 
to attend the Web Intelligence Conference).

For me, a bi-weekly call on Wed 15:00 my time would be 
preferable. Asaf, and all others, does that suit you?

It would be good, if the Reaction-tg would synchronize
its work with that of the OMG Production Rules group
consisting of Fair Isaac, ILOG, IBM, LibRT and RuleML
(represented by Said and myself). In that group we are
currently investigating the possibility of a PIM rule
language based on OCL conditions and UML2 actions.

This could also be the basis of for our RuleML ECAP rule
language.

Hi,

I would like to introduce myself to the list. My name is Mikael Berndtsson and I have been involved in active database technology since 1991.

In the "old days" I extended the ODBMS ONTOS with an ECA rule layer and investigated how ECA rules might be used to support cooperation strategies in Cooperative Information Systems. Nowadays, I'm interested in ECA rule markup languages, stand alone ECA rule engines, and ECA rule modeling techniques.

I'm currently involved in the European research network REWERSE (together with Gerd W. from this list), and I also try to supply Marco Seiriö / ruleCore with relevant research results from the active database community.
